How to send Gcode to TMC5160s

Thu Feb 13, 2020 10:06 pm

If I created a HAT for my Pi using TMC5160 stepper drivers, would it be possible to configure it to be able to run Gcode files?

I noticed this article on Trinamic's site: http://blog.trinamic.com/2018/04/09/rea ... altime-os/

How would we send commands to the stepper driver in this setup?

why bother? a cheap arduino cnc shield would run G code for several stepper motors.

I need to be able to run 3.5 to 4amps and none of the Arduino cnc shields Ive seen have been able to do that. If I was able to create one though for arduino using the TMC5160s would it be able to take GCode files to run?
