Not sure if you saw this thread https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 1&t=244765

Looking at the IDE 2019‑06 it seems to be only 64-bit builds now...

Locally, one developer gave up in disgust (may have something to do with Crystal Reports being mentioned on the site) and moved to Visual Code (despite not getting on with M/S development platforms normally).

I tried to build Eclipse for the Pi4. Horrendous. Eclipse, despite me using it since very early version and being a fan, has become too big and bloated for normal humans to build and I have moved to alternatives. Even Debian are thinking of removing it entirely from their repo due to the difficulties in building recent versions.

I did get VSCode working, and have now moved to that on my main PC as well, throwing Eclipse out.

Oh wow! Oh well ... VSCode it is. I guess.

So, do you mind helping me short the discovery phase of getting VSCode going for Java development on the Pi?
First off and mainly I guess what plugins are you using in VSCode on the Pi?
Any info is much appreciated.

Google has much stuff.
The procedure on you page seems to be tied to Sketch.
Can you help me get t installed on Buster?
ALL the Google blogs are incorrect! The point to repo's with no vscode installs.

I used the headmelted page to install on a Pi4 running Buster. Not my page, I just used it.
