having already the raspberry 4 outputs what usb output needs on that plate?
AIUI, for current/newer Pi's it can be used to power the Pi (with the main power feeding the display controller board first)** Connecting (shared) power via GPIO connections is an alternative method (and, IIRC, additional GPIO connections may be required with some, older, pi/display combo's to give full functionality eg. backlight control ...)
** As I did here with a P3A+ : http://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi ... splay.html
Still running Raspbian Jessie on some older Pi's (an A, B1, B2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W) but Stretch on my 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, A+ and a B2. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm
