PI Zero W Crash with V2 Kamera Modul with Motion/BCM2835

Hey together,

I would like to use the RaPi as a (Live) Webcam, so I have installed the newest Raspbian Lite and the software Motion 4.2.1 and also Motioneye. Everything worked fine, but after some seconds in the webinterface, I get a crash like this:

What I have done so far: dist-ugrade, rpi-update, tried 3 AC and 4 different USB cable.
IMHO I think when I am using the PI without the camera modul on the CSi interface, I have no crash after one hour...

I dont know why it crash, when the camera is attached :/, any ideas or log files where I can see some further logs?

I'm just now seeing something similar.

Some config info, from crash time:
  • Raspberry Pi Zero W Rev 1.1
    temp=59.5'C
    volt=1.3500V
    throttled=0x0
    Linux pi-10 4.14.98+ #1200 Tue Feb 12 20:11:02 GMT 2019 armv6l GNU/Linux
    uptime: 01:30:01 up 3:12, 1 user, load average: 0.21, 0.29, 0.28
I currently run 5 Pi0Ws, all headless, and all streaming Pikrellcam, with identical SD card images (except of course hostname). Only devices attached are an official non-NoIR camera and an external wifi adapter (the built in WiFi doesn't have the range needed). All are in Zeroview cases from Pi Hut. Some have been running almost continuously for over a year. Only outages were for updates. Never a crash.

Recently I got a new Pi0W and new NoIR camera, using the same image as the other Pi0Ws.
Differences:
  • NoIR camera
    Using the internal wifi chip, for testing.
    Not yet in a Zeroview case.
    New zero running +9/10C above the other 5 Pi0Ws (due to internal vs external wifi (?)).
Streaming was working fine on the new Pi, images looked good via browser. I SSH'd in, tailing syslog, looking for the previously reported bug. Video still looked good in the browser. I started another SSH session via Putty (duplicated the first session), which failed with a strange message from putty indicating a key mismatch. Can't be true, since I could restart the session successfully, so the key is fine. Immediately, the Pikrellcam video stream stopped. After reboot, putty repeatedly complained about connection refused. Had to power cycle (we used to call that a poughkeepsie reset LOL).

From syslog. The paging request failure (first line) is interesting (page crosser?). Also @ 11610.698610: Internal error: Oops - undefined instruction: 0 [#3] ARM

After looking at

I tried over_voltage=8 (1.4V), and new zero is streaming fine now for >24 hours. Max before was less than 2 hours.
May be too early to tell, but looks like it is having a positive effect.
Pi is still running +9C above by other zeros, all streaming fine at 1.2V.
New one runs hotter and needs a voltage boost. I can live with that, but still interesting.
BTW, the increased voltage does not appear to increase CPU temp.
