Mount iPhone (iPad...) properly in command line

I try to connect iPhones and iPads to my Raspberry Pis. I installed ifuse:

sudo apt-get install ifuse

I mount the iPhone with ifuse:

mkdir iphone
ifuse iphone

No error messages so far.
Then I list my home directory, but the iphone directory now has this weird list entry:

ls -l
ls: cannot access iphone: Invalid argument

Code: Select all

d????????? ? ?  ?     ?            ? iphone

I cannot see anything inside that folder. Do I need special programs?
