Email from Farnell

I think they just use UPS, but I vaguely remember getting some smaller orders sent via royal mail in the past. My previous farnell orders don't have tracking numbers, so I suppose this probably wont either!

I thought mine would have been atleast a couple of thousand down the list being as it was 5+hours after they started taking orders.

Strangely enough still no word from RS. I had the initial your in the first batch email, but nothing else.
Farnell was my backup (I was planning on cancelling the order) as I registered for RS within the first few minutes.

i am not envious (much).  I ordered at exactly the same time, but had the email last week saying delivery before the end of June

it looks like UK is getting preference for this batch, until the serial production starts sending to local distributors.  I am in France and ordered from fr.farnell.com

I too had an E-mail saying that my pi was shipped, however I have not seen a tracking number in the Mail, neither is the order updated on the Farnell website.

Give 'em a chance. My order status the other day was updated a few hours after someone else on the forum (Aszu?).

They've probably got so many to do that we'll all get the tracking details (if there are any) after we've taken delivery.

I've not had one single email from Farnell (relating to my Pi order) until today and I've had the shipping email.  Ordered similar time to JoeDaStudd.

dose this mean mine is gonna get shipped soon.... my order was at 8:16 on the 29th (and i'm in the UK) so far i have no shipping email, but my order has gone from "Back Order" to "Processing", also my projected date (from the email from a few days ago) is for sometime next week

I'm wondering the same as my order time was 8:30 on the 29th and in the UK also.  Annoyingly they have old card details for me and when i rang they wouldn't update them for me.  Would have been great to get it before the weekend with it being a long weekend here in the UK.

Yes, my email says shipped, but on the website my order has gone from back order to processing. I don't have a tracking number yet either.

so, there's a chance i just haven't got my email through for some reason (sometimes emails just get lost with my gmail account), it would make my day to see my pi shipped

Brilliant news - but now I need to get nearly all the supporting 'bits' and get up to speed with Linux, looks the the MagPi magazine will be my first port of call, plus finish watching Liam's videos, and Learn Python, and fish out all/any PSUs for various mobile phones and other gadgets.....exciting times.

No tracking number here either, as it was delivered by Royal Mail (looking through my previous shipments, you only get tracking numbers for UPS). The postman rang the doorbell as it wouldn't fit through my small none standard letter box. The envelope should easily fit through a regular sized letter box though. No signature required either, so if you got your email yesterday, open your door carefully when you get home!
