New Pi B2, older version of NOOBS

Thu Feb 05, 2015 4:35 pm

I've ordered a pre-formatted SD card from Adafruit that, I believe, ships with NOOBS 1.3.9. I see the latest version in "Downloads" is 1.3.12. Will this be a problem, or will I be able to boot Raspbian and then update?

1.3.9 won't just work on a pi2.

Do you have an sd card reader or a pi1 to update it?

Thanks, ShiftPlusOne -- I'm using a borrowed MacBook Pro that appears to have a card reader. From what've read here, I guess I'll need to reformat the SD card as a blank card before installing the download -- or can I drag and drop?
