RF Transmitter FS1000A control up to 1000 Channels/Items

Fri Nov 22, 2013 11:18 pm

Control Power Outlet or 315/433/433.29mhz Relay Receivers by using RF Transmitter - FS1000A. By using only 1 Raspberry and this RF transmitter , I can control up to 1000 channels( fan, gate, light, hard drive security, garage, curtain, lock, door entry, HVAC,etc..). Check out my video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dmvT6vTV2w

Hi thienson30,

Nice job, impressive!

You didn't talk about the receiver which is the more important stuff in my point of view. Sending is easy but receiving it is an other part. What did you use on the receiving part.

I do have concern when everything is wireless. Did you encrypt the signal ? What append if your neighbour got the same system. If I capture a data packet with a snifer and if I reproduce it , will it work?

The signal on this one is similar to this Transmiter http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-433MHZ-Wire ... 1c37240442
(this link is not my product).
It's ASK Transmitter module. The receiver producs are available on ebay. If I encoded the signal, then it won't work; however,
if customer want me to do freelance work for more secured system, I can implement it by using 4 Channels Receiver with one Relay and 3 AND gates (triad maybe) two transmitter modules on Raspberry PI to send signal out. One transmitter to scramble and other to send out message. On the Receivers side is 4 Channels to control one relay. If you know how these transmitter and receiver work, you will know the number of possibilities that can't be hack in. I can make this system is about 99.99 percent unhackable signal. But in the mean time for general audiences and general receivers available on the market, I made it this way.

Thank you for your output

One more thing, the system still work even most of the time, even if neighbors have the same system because most of the RF receivers will not have the same code. Only time it's not working is both of them turn on the same time;

Can you please share the project details like hardware required and program file, my mail id is chiragpatelbh@gmail.com

i am working on similar project but could do only with GPIO and struglling with serial programming and WIFI operations.

rfCommandMe Software - you can download at http://CommandMe.net/DownloadFiles/rfCommandMe and you can use to control GPIOs for free. If you want to check the hardware out, below are the links to all hardwares from RF power outlet to RF Receiver.

wget http://CommandMe.net/DownloadFiles/rfCommandMe
chmod a+x rfCommandMe

rfCommandMe GPIO gpioNumber ON or OFF

Before I mentioned about control 8 items /devices... at the time, I was hardwire multiple transmitters to Raspberry PI (each transmitter control 4 devices/RF Relay Receiver). That was why I said 8 items. Now, I am using only one Transmitter FS1000A module to control up to 1000 devices/ RF Relay Receivers. Just place your raspberry PI at your TV to play movie while controlling things in the house.

Dear Thienson,

thanks for reply,

FS1000A is transiver for wifi connection,

but which pins you are using GPIO, I2c or UART,

and how you are giving adresses to slaves.

can you share your python program?

I'm using GPIO 23 to connect to Data PIN on Transmitter. I can use any GPIO to transmit ( I had tested and most of GPIOs will work); Source code will not be given out; however, it is very cheap to purchase rfCommandMe Licenses ( $4.99 per 4 channels / RF receivers). You can use it with you own software or you can use with my web interface or CommandMe Android App.

Check out my SIMULATOR at http://CommandMe.net and click on SIMULATOR(this PI is running from my house. I just disconnected the Transmitter Module for demonstration purpose).

i'm interested in this but don't understand how you can use one transmitter to control 1000 devices, as usually these modules (e.g. with remote keyfob or learn button) only have 4 codes.

If you really want to see how it work, I list them on Ebay (just search for rfCommandMe) you can purchase and try them out . I have RF Power outlet, Door Sensors and RF receiver

i've seen them on ebay, but i won't buy something if i don't know how/if it works. your relay module in the single listing looks different to others on ebay (same as your 5 listing), so i assume you've added a microntroller to expand the number of channels possible, which would make them incompatible with "normal" relay modules elsewhere on ebay.

These are Radio Frequency Relay Receivers, It acts like a switch to turn on/off but by electronic signal and controlled by a transmitter module.

Hi,
In this product, is it possible to the raspberry identify if the relay is on or off?

Thanks,

Fabrício
