Are you joking!
You can't run Wine at all on the Pi. All Windoze apps are either x86 or AMD64, so even if you did compile Wine, it wouldn't work.
I want to see if I can't install/run Steam.aaa801 wrote:That attitude is not really helpful now is it?,NathanBookham wrote:LOL![]()

Wine in its current state can not run x86/64 applications, it is not a emulator but rather a compatibility layer,
What application are you attempting to get running anyway?
Good luck with that, are you planning to run games on it?, because the pi isnt that powerfullcrayzeedude wrote:I want to see if I can't install/run Steam.aaa801 wrote:That attitude is not really helpful now is it?,NathanBookham wrote:LOL![]()

What do you mean by anything though? Windows apps (Some of which could run, very very slowly, under QEMU and Wine), or something else? There's lots and lots of working software on the Raspi, what do you really want to achieve?crayzeedude wrote:Probably just wouldn't work, but I'd be happy if I could get anything working...

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install synaptic

Interestingly enough, many of us get all sorts of programs to run (on the Pi).crayzeedude wrote:I just can't get any kind of program to run.
What programs have you tried? Give us a list of specific programs, not necessarily all of them, but a good number.crayzeedude wrote:I just can't get any kind of program to run.
Pluggy has lots of faults, but continually commenting on the Pi's faults isn't one of them...pluggy wrote:The Pi has lots of faults, but not running Windo$e software isn't one of them.....
