Lapdock screen settings - info

After much nashing of the teeth and help from others on this forum, here are the settings I've found to be the best at the moment when using a Motorola Bionic Lapdock which has a native screen resolution of 1366 * 768 (11.5").

Set monitor to HansG 171D
Set colours to 16M
Set Resolution to 1280 * 720

Text is still a little too small for my liking, but is quite usable and much better than the default 1920. I suspect any monitor choice that allows a 1280 * 720 would work.

Add this to the HannsG File in !boot/resources/monitors/handdG/HannG-JC171d
step 1 pen folder and load file into edit scroll though the file until you get to the #end
Step 2: place cursor in space before #End and press the spacebar, then enter the text at step 3
Step:3
#1360 x 768 (60Hz)
startmode
mode_name:1360 x 768 (16.9)
x_res:1360
y_res:768
Pixel_rate:69000
h_timing:32,30,0,1360,0,3
v_timing:4,15,0,768.0,3
sync_pol:3
endmode

Step:4 save the file by pressing F3 to save.
Then you can select the 1360x768 screen config.
this will give you the correct res for you lapdock

That worked fine thanks, the only extra thing I had to do was unprotect the file for writing purposes.


Centre mouse button and then mouse over file name, mouse over Access, mouse over Unprotected and left click. Same again afterwards to select Protected.

Just one addition to the path file you gave, just in case anyone else wants to try this out.
