CAM1320 Module?

Sun Jun 16, 2019 8:48 am

Has anyone tested the CAM1320 module? It's appartently 13.2mp. Might have the raspberry pi camera modules beat. Besides that ir version. Anyways if anyone has any test footage could you please link?

You don't provide a link to that camera module, so it's hard to comment.

There are no drivers in the firmware for camera modules other than OV5647 and IMX219 - the two Pi camera modules. Those are the only sensors that raspivid, raspistill, and picamera will work with.
You can use the CSI receiver from the kernel or userland in which you control the full pipeline. Doing so leaves all processing up to you as it will just deliver the raw Bayer frames. AE, AGC, and AWB control loops are up to you.

Not sure which one OP is referring to, but this one seems to fit the description.

This seems to be the link @Traste wanted to add (module is based on ov13850 sensor):
https://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?r ... uct_id=228

You can get Arducam 13/16/18MP cameras that directly work plugged into Pi CSI-2 interface (the 13MP is based on imx135 sensor though):

I have an imx135 sample at home, as said in the other posting, I have not done much with that module yet besides capturing some 13.2MP stills and videos (was more interested in the two global shutter modules):

P.S:
After having been successful to make Raspberry v1 5MP camera (clone) ov5647 sensor do global external shutter frames, I am currently working on doing the same with 2MP ov2640 sensor used by ESP32-CAM modules. Last night was the first time I ever captured a frame consisting of region with rolling shutter and and region with global shutter effect, in the same frame(!):
