Mon Jun 11, 2018 9:51 am

Hi, from few weeks I discovered that my raspbian stretch is not showing the snail email (@) as normalyl and I don't know how to write it with the italian keyboard. Any helps?

On RASPBIAN STRETCH WITH DESKTOP the @ is workign well.

Have you configured your keyboard and locale in sudo raspi-config?

What "nationality" of keyboard are you using?
What's in /etc/default/keyboard?

Have you rebooted after making changes?

Italian:

United Kingdom (default)

So your at-sign may appear on your [à°] key if it still thinks you have a UK keyboard (two keys right of [L]).

The content of /etc/default/keyboard is:

Code: Select all

# KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION FILE

# Consult the keyboard(5) manual page.

XKBMODEL="pc105"
XKBLAYOUT="it"
XKBVARIANT=""
XKBOPTIONS="compose:ralt"

BACKSPACE="guess"

Ah, interesting. Have you rebooted after /etc/default/keyboard was changed?

Done thanks! viewtopic.php?f=79&t=215778
Is it possible maybe to compose the @ char in a similar way of windows? For example on windows 10, I can write the symbol ~ trough ALTR+126, maybe I can do something ismilar for the @symbol on raspbian?

If you can define a "compose" key then it is possible.
