Compute Module 3 not detected for re-flashing

Tue Sep 26, 2017 6:54 am

I'd been doing "re-formating" for my Compute Module 3 (with eMMC), I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 B to perform the format according to the Official website Documentation.

But the

Code: Select all

sudo ./rpiboot
stops at Waiting for BCM2835/6/7 like forever

Any idea to perform a hardware reset?
Just a tiny lil potato in this gigantic syntax

:) i'm sorry i haven't a clue! ( or Compute Module 3 ;) )

fyi more rpiboot problems / solutions @ https://github.com/raspberrypi/usbboot/ ... 3Aissue%20 !
& historically
https://github.com/raspberrypi/tools/is ... %20usbboot

perhaps you might find some mention of `hardware reset` methods or more relevent info wrt Compute Module 3 @ usbboot/issues

Im curretly trying to use './rpiboot' with pi0 and piA and have seen abit of 'stops at Waiting for BCM2835/6/7 like forever'

after messing about abit with different cables , adapters
and
rpiboot -d [directory] : Boot the device using the boot files in 'directory'
+ firmware copyed from the fat pertitions of various images
at least in the case of pi0 and piA the firmware version used appears critical to success :!:

... are you using latest version of rpiboot?

If you are using the Official CM3 Development Base Board did you set the Jumper in the correct position ???

Can you see the CM3 in device manger (on a windows PC)?

I seem to have manage to brick a CM3 by interrupting the download at about 10% - this is REALLY worrying as a we must offer OTA updates to our customers in the future!

When you say you reformatted the CM3 I wonder if you have effected something in the memory that needs to be there... but from what I understand this should not happen???
