I'm seeing the same error (I think). If you are logged in remotely before the crash you can still access (but you can't logout or login via SSH and the console is blank)

Can you do an rpi-update. I believe the code path in the stack trace you posted is no longer present.

Now I seem to be getting the same 'issue' (blank screen after X windows log out) but it is intermittent.

By running tail -f syslog over a ssh session I got the following debug:

Confirmed that this indeed did the trick... sudo pacman -Syu showed new firmware :)

I do get the blank screen issue when using the shortcut logout button (bottom right) in LXDE... However, it works fine if using the menu. Perhaps this more a localised LXDE issue?

I was having this problem on Wheezy. Since apt-get updating and upgrading (>200 updates) LXDE now closes as it should and takes you back to the cli prompt. I haven't done an rpi-update on it.

Hi

I did the upgrade on Saturday to Wheezy and since then it has crashed once when closing LXDE out of about five attempts. I did do the rpi-update.

I don't know if its relevant to you, but does it crash on using the LXDE menu (left hand side) - I found for me this always worked. The shortcut button (bottom right) crashes the system...

Hi

Yes it was when I used the menu, I haven't used the shortcut button.

Hmmm, a bit of a loss really mate, apart from the obvious which is to reboot after an update (sorry if i've insulted anyone's intelligence... i'll get my coat)

Hi

No offence taken, when it comes to Unix I am very much a beginner. Yes I did reboot after doing the update.

Not to worry its only happened on one in five times so far.
