Doubt on remapping pins

Sat Nov 17, 2018 10:18 pm

Hi to all, mayube it would be a stupid question but I've never seen it before: on CM I can remap pins and get alternate pinfunction writing on config.txt file.
Well.
But... about previous versions of Pi?
Is it possible do the same on Pi 2? (get second UART or remap peripherals)
Thanks.

All Pis have the same flexibility of remapping pin functions, but only the CMs give you access to GPIOs above 27. This means that since the UARTs only appear in one position below 28 - 14&15 - you can only make use of one UART for user applications on a non-CM.
