FIFO

What is a FIFO?

I've been looking into how to control omxplayer via ssh where the standard key inputs don't work.

A method to manage it seems to be to use a FIFO, created using the mkfifo command but what is it? What's it used for?

First In First Out. Also called a queue, or que or pipe. The time sequential order is maintained when information is passed.
Pi[NFA]=B256R0USB CL4SD8GB Raspbian Stock.
Pi[Work]=A+256 CL4SD8GB Raspbian Stock.
My favourite constant 1.65056745028

So how do you use one? And when is the information passed?
