pi zero w and aptx

Is there a way to turn my pi zero w into an aptX bluetooth transmitter?

The Zero W's Bluetooth does not support the proprietary aptX. Your best bet would be to use a separate USB aptX Bluetooth adapter.

(deleted, inaccurate info)

Hopefully someone else will chime in. Searches aren't turning up anything relevant.

I'm not certain that aptX is down to the hardware alone (or at all); it must also be supported in software. I don't believe aptX is included with the BlueALSA version in the repo; it may need to be compiled in.

The Pi won't 'get confused' with multiple Bluetooth adapters, they will be numbered hci0, hci1, etc. It is my experience that a USB adapter will be numbered as the default (hci0), but I know of no guarantees on that.
