Format a pre-rigged NOOBS card

Wed Sep 11, 2019 1:22 pm

Hello

I bought the starter kit with a 16 GB pre-rigged NOOBS OS installed.
Today i wanted to format it, when i insert it to my PC, there are several drives/letters, one being a "BOOT" label with 14 GB and 3 more drives.

How do i format them as one?

Use the SD Card Association's SD card formatter...

PINN - NOOBS with the extras... https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=142574

Or if you're only wishing to install an OS (eg Raspbian, noobs is not an OS), just download the image and use etcher or dd to burn the card, no need to format at all.

One can also use a digital camera that uses the micro sd card to reformat the micro sd card.
