Raspian 18.04 Initial Login and PASSWD

Fri Jun 28, 2019 7:35 pm

Pi3+ with 16 gig card formatted and loaded via WIN32DiskImager rraspex-ubuntu-18.04-LTS-lxde-4400mb-180328.img on win10 machine.
Bootup on the Pi3 does not end at a desktop, rather it ends with
"Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS ubuntu tty1"
"ubuntu Login:" followed by
"Password:"
I have tried pi/raspberry, root/root, ubuntu/{nothing} and others but none will get me to the desktop where I can configure the network.
I have read through about 60-70 forum entries on the topic but cannot get in.

Looking at the site where this third-party image is made available might help.

Possibly here? http://raspex.exton.se/?p=823

Scroll down to the section headed How do I use RaspEX?
When you start up your Raspberry Mini computer with RaspEX you will (after a few seconds) end up in X and LXDE as the ordinary user raspex. The password for raspex is...

Failing that, the website cited above has a Comment facility for contacting the author/developer.
