Login Wallpaper Impossible to Change

Wed Apr 03, 2019 6:48 pm

Hello everyone,

I just have setup my new Raspberry PI 3B+ with Raspbian, november 2018 Release. All is ok.

I have one question. I searched on Google, here in Raspbian Forums but i still havent found what i'm looking for... (Like Bono in U2) ;)

I want to change Login Wallpaper. All i have tried does not work.

Setting up "lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf" with background parameter does NOT work.
Setting up "lightdm.conf" with background parameter does NOT work. etc etc ...

I have tried all i have found on the Net, but nothing work.

Can someone tell me how to change Login Wallpaper ?
OR
Can someone tell me how to not display last user wallpaper in login screen ?

Thanks in advance.

Same issue.
pcmanfm --desktop-pref doesn't work
manually change it thru terminal using pcmanfm -w /usr/share/pixel-wallpaper/cliff.jpg doesn't work

The login screen is configured in /etc/lightdm/pi-greeter.conf if you use the Raspberry Pi Desktop default pi-greeter.

The wallpaper is changed together with the desktop wallpaper (in the "Appearance Settings") if a user has the privileges. pi has the privilege. Other users might get error messages and only the users own desktop background changed.
