Firefox Developer Edition 58.0.1 64-bit on Pi , 58.0.2 on Intel Linux Mint
Opened 30+ tabs on Pi version before getting bored, still had some memory left
Is this in the main repository to install using apt-get? Or did you get the source and compiled?
I did not do it, I run Gentoo Aarch64, it comes on Sakaki's Gentoo distribution.
For the full saga of how it was done check Neddyseagoon's posts on the Gentoo forums.
To compile it he needed to get a Aarch64 version of the Rust compiler going, which needs LLVM first.
Gentoo's Firefox browser has the multicore code from Mozilla's Servo engine.
A bit about Rust on Pi's
Firefox uses the 4 ARM cores to accelerate the browser engine.
Those cores run in 64bit mode and maybe there is some NEON going on too.
It works and runs fine, the tabs seem to use up less memory than other browsers.
