Building applications with Nice GUI

Fri Nov 24, 2017 1:31 pm

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and i don't have much experience with PI as well So i don't say anything if you call my question(s) silly :D
can someone guide me what is the best way to create a nice GUI for my raspberry pi ? already tried TKINTER ,PYQT , .. they are quite complex at least to Me :o
a while ago i was coding using Visual basic on windows ....simply add a form then put some Buttons and controls then double click on them and start coding then you done :)
is there anything like this for Pi or it has to go Only and Only using TKinter and PyQt on (Raspbian OS) ?
My best

guizero is probably want you need. it's aimed as a low barrier for kids to knock up gui's for their python apps and is pretty good. i'm currently using it for a couple of programs that i want guis for

If your not locked into using Python, then Gambas: http://gambas.sourceforge.net/en/main.html

You can do a "sudo apt search gambas3" on your RPi and it will show up for you. Pretty similar to building apps in VB.

You can also use Gambas to control your RPi using WiringPi, here's a link: http://captainbodgit.blogspot.com/2013/ ... ambas.html
