Pi v2 - Jessy Shutsdown unexpectly

I'm running a Raspberry Pi V2 with Jessie and the latest updates. The unit is set up to bridge eth0 and eth1. It is listening to traffic on my network via TCPFLOW and a Python program which is running in a disconnected Screen session.
It has been working just fine, then yesterday is shutdown unexpectedly!!! If the Python program had abended, then I would have had the error messages in the screen session. But since the Pi itself seems to have shutdown, I have no idea what happened.
Is there a way for me to look back into some system log to see if there are any clues as to why this happened?
Thanks....RDK
