Hi
I am an absolute biginner with the rasberry pi. I'me integrating it into a rocket to fire engines and do some monitering and i would like to be able to transmit this data to a laptop. I looked on the internet and i stumbled on a radio transmission system called LoRa and i think it would suit my purposes but i don't know what hardware i need and how it works.

Could you help me out?
Thanks

@cn130899

Could you please let us all know when and where you'll be launching. I and possibly many others will not wish to be in the vicinity.

I used LoRa GPS/HAT but gps didn't function , followed the dragino tutorial from
http://wiki.dragino.com/index.php?title ... _3_Model_B
didn't work , blank data when call "sudo cat /dev/ttyS0" , all config and prameters are same with tutorial , used 5v 3A adaptor and outdoor , cgps no fix....
used other LoRa GPS and Raspberry Pi 3 ...didn't working ;-(
but I used Itead GPS v2 shield ...worked
device :
- Raspberry Pi 3 with Jessie Pixel
- LoRa /GPS HAT
- 5v 3A Adaptor

any solution? thank you

Adafruit Feather M0 LoRa in Rocket, Pi in basestation?
You could make it simpler by using two LoRa Feathers and serial output via USB to Pi.
Took me an hour to get comms example code working.
Takes longer to find/install tools and libraries than cut paste code/compile/program :o
Got Arduino IDE working on Pi 3.
You need two PC's/Pi 3 to test/write/debug, one for each feather.

Next use Zero with LoRa module to get video?
