Where to start?(WLan pi operated speakers)

Wed Jan 06, 2016 2:47 am

Hello I'm just looking on where to get information pertaining to making a speaker system controlled my raspberry pi. The plan is to have two speakers connected to a controller that can run local music, Pandora, and YouTube audio. The speakers are going to be on an outside structure and I would like to be able to code an app or mirror the pi screen that is connected to the speakers since they will be out of reach. Any help would be great! Thank you in advance.

The pi has speaker out so you can just drive an amp and plug speakers into it. Most anything can then remotely be played via a network connection on that pi and then out its speakers. It gets harder if several pi need to somehow play the same sound out but they are close enough together that those sounds will be heard potentially from two speakers from two different pi at once.
