Clean installation

Sat Jul 28, 2012 9:32 am

Hi, I've installed raspbmc but would like to change to raspbian.
I have removed the all partions and created a new on the SD card and then written the raspbian image (using Win32DiskImager), but still XMBC starts at power up. I've searched the forum for reinstall and similar but not found any help.
And ideas?

If it still boots XBMC you've either not deleted the partitions properly or you've mistakenly written the XBMC image. Probably the latter, as I don't really think you have to do the former. Try again and make doubly certain.

Stupid me. If you press read-button in DiskManager it will overwrite the filename that is entered in the Image File field.
Now the installation of raspbian is working.
Thanks a lot!
