dht11 readings to a database [How?]

Sat Mar 14, 2015 10:49 am

Hi,

I have a DHT11 sensor in my Rpi B+ and all works well, the readings are going to some google doc, but now I want to store these data/Value in a database like mysql or any other.. but I can't find anything in the web with this sensor, the tutoriales or information that I found is with some others sensors DS..

What I notice is that these sensors DS.. are shown in the hardware information when it's connected to the Pi, while the DHT isn't visible in the hardware information.. hence it's easier I think.. but the point is that I want to use the DHT11. any help please?

Hi,
I don't know if it'll specifically work for you, but you should check out Temboo. I'm planning to do something similar with the DHT11/DHT22 and would like to use temboo to connect to the cloud store data and other analytics. Maybe they also have sql support as mentioned here: https://temboo.com/library/Library/MySQL/

The important thing to understand is that databases know nothing about sensors, and sensors know nothing about databases. The two are completely unrelated. I don't understand your reference to 'DS' (Data Set? Data Structure? Digital Signature?), or 'hardware information'; perhaps you could explain.

But I would install a database, and learn how to access it with a tutorial that has nothing to do with the DHT11. By then, you should understand how to use the data from your sensor, and put it in the database.

MySQL is popular. SQLite may be easier for DB beginners.
