RetroPie controller

Thu Mar 08, 2018 3:33 pm

I've been interested in running RetroPie on my Raspberry Pi and was wondering what the best controller to use with it would be, and that would work with all the consoles on there.

I use this models from amazon Spain: The Qumox are cheap but I broke 2 of 4 I buyed.
The Buffalo are more reliable but expensive and my son broke another one.
Now I use the Gioteck Vx2 robust and complete but in Spain are out of stock.

If you do not want the "retro feel" from you controller, you could consider to get a Logitech F710 gamepad which is a great choice for both RetroPie and PC gaming :)

Seconding any Logitech USB controller that's vaguely Xbox-ish. I used the basic Logitech F310, and it's great.

The Retropie setup pretty much assumes you're going to use an F310 or similar, so using anything else is hard. It also helps to have a keyboard on hand, as some systems can get very keyboardy.

I guess I'll go with the Logitech F310 as it seems pretty cheap and the reviews look good too.

Thanks for your suggestions!
