Tue Jun 23, 2015 11:08 pm

i do not take any credit for this build but I've found it and used it, it works well could work better but without any gpu drivers, it is a big sluggish, but i know that we as a community have been wanting support for android since the beginning, so without here it is android for the raspberry pi 2 :D

just write the image to a sd card and then open up a program like gparted and AND DO NOT FORGET expand the free space to a ext4 partition

if you want more apps just download this inside once android is all set up, will need an ethernet connection for this build

So who should take credit for this Android build? Where did you find it? Why not a link to the creator?

Do you expect us to run any random malware off the net on our machines?

In terms of selling more Pis, in turn increasing the funding to the 'charity', is there a reason the RPi Foundation haven't already put some money/time/manpower in to an official Android build for the Pi?

I'm sure it would cause a huge spike in the number if Pis sold, if Android was say, part of NOOBS.

I'll bet there's all sorts of reasons from the amount of effort, Broadcom 'stuff', money, licencing etc...but would be interested in hearing more.

Because it's not part of their mission statement to get young people to learn to program.
There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't.
