Allegro on Raspbian?

Sat Aug 10, 2013 11:28 am

I will be getting a raspberry pi in a few months and want to know if I can get Allegro on Raspian. I am asking now because I am trying to find a good multi-platform library that will also run on the rpi.

Thanks. :)

Allegro 4.4.2 is in the Raspbian repository. If you want Allegro 5 you will need to compile it yourself (which is pretty straight forward).

For anyone else who comes across this thread.

If you want to compile allegro 5, check out these instructions http://www.stuffaboutcode.com/2016/11/c ... ry-pi.html

Allegro 5.2 + runs really well on the Pi (particularly the Pi 2 & 3).
