https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/
installation of retropie on top of actual raspbian-stretch is still not supported yet.
if you try, you will end up with an error.
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Se ... /system.sh
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Se ... 98757a4955
line 80:

Code: Select all

error="Sorry - Raspbian/Debian Stretch (and newer) is not yet supported on the RPI"
only raspbian-jessie is currently supported.

take a second sd card and put retropie on it.
or that the one you have and wipe out the NOOBS and put retropie on it, when you don't need raspbian.
https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/
https://retropie.org.uk/download/

or make a new installation of the sd card and install PINN instead of NOOBS.
https://github.com/procount/pinn
there is also RetroPie available to install side by side with Raspbian on the same sd card.
{ I only give negative feedback }
