Monitor off center HDMI

Sun Jun 04, 2017 2:03 pm

Hello,
Running Raspberry Pi 3 B.Image

AS you can see on the picture, my monitor shows the desktop off the center to the top left.. I tried to play with the overcan on/off and nothing helped. This is a new image, downloaded and dd'ed to new card.

I have run Kali before and all went well, and I was surprised I couldn't do anything about this one. It's HDMI, there is no settings on the monitor to change the positioning.

Can you someone please englighten me how to fix this? The monitor is LG - HD ready.

you say you've tried turning the overscan off and on and it didn't help but give https://github.com/ukscone/set_overscan a go it might help

From the few examples I've played with** note than an "HD Ready" display (esp. T.V.) is not the same as a (true) HD display - there appears to be fewer "HD modes" supported.

Still running Raspbian Jessie on some older Pi's (an A, B1, B2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W) but Stretch on my 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, A+ and a B2. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm

Return to “Raspbian”
