sources.list malformed architecture problem

hey

i am using raspberry pi 3 model b with Operating system raspbian jessie. i had added architecture with the command
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 after doing this apt-get update fails and it gives me the following error.


sudo apt-get update
Hit http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org jessie InRelease
Hit http://archive.raspberrypi.org jessie InRelease
W: Failed to fetch http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/rasp ... /InRelease Unable to find expected entry 'main/binary-32/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)

W: Failed to fetch http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/d ... /InRelease Unable to find expected entry 'main/binary-32/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Why would you add i386 that is x86 CPU Architecture...

......the RPI is ARM CPU Architecture and Raspbian is ARMHF !
Retired disgracefully.....
......to a more gentile life !

Yea the Raspberry Pi is not an i386 it is an ARMf and you will not be able to get anything from the i386 or x64 to run on ARMf cpu
