With the Zero especially being so crazily inexpensive, it really does make sense to keep one or two extra around "on spec", just in case a project pops up in the middle of the night. Only 5 of my 8 Pi's are on 24/7. Still toying with the idea of getting 4-8 Zeros and a hub, and making a cluster with which to, uh, conduct important experiments.
