I need an idea....

Thu Nov 14, 2013 9:46 pm

Hello Raspberry Piers,

I like doing cool projects, especially ones that involve GPIO and breadboards. Can anyone give me an idea of what to build/program? Anything that involves lights and buttons, because I have A LOT of those. Also, a light sensor would be nice too. Any ideas?

Thanks, Nicholas Harris "Scarabcoder"

You have lights and switches so how's about a memory game??

Basically you'll have 6 or more LEDs and they will turn on and off in a certain sequence, maybe each LED occupy a different position and colour on a wooden board.
The idea of the game is you press the switches to replicate the same sequence, the better your memory the harder and longer the sequences get.

I know this isn't an original idea but it's certainly something worth building using the GPIO interface and fairly easy to code.
Since the GPIO is bi-directional (input and output) the switches could also share the same data lines as used to light up the LEDs.

Haha, I've actually already done that before :). Thanks anyway though!
