Alex was talking a lot last week about a project from an Indian university he'd been emailing with. I asked him to write a post about it - it's really interesting stuff, using the Raspberry Pi to drive a very cheap, open hardware platform for physics experimentation. They've got a smaller cheaper ($35) version now. Ships worldwide (for ~$10 to the places I checked just now).

Apart from the 50 experiments listed here, what could someone do with one of these?
