Just checked on Parcelforce web site. Express24 means that it should be received by the recipient by close of play the next day.

This means I will have to sit by the front door with a flask of coffee and a potty tomorrow as postie always crawls up the drive and shoves a "While you were out" card through my door every time I visit the little boys room.

I've just had my despatch email. Was super excited, until I saw the address they are despatching too.

I hope that the actual label has what the RS confirmation email said, rather than what this parcelforce email has said, otherwise it is going to get lost somewhere in the University.

It should go to:

Dept. of Physics, University of Warwick.

Parcelforce have displayed the address as:

University of Warwick, - Dept.

Obviously there are other bits, but it could get lost for days  (I shall be checking the tracking almost constantly until I know where it has turned up)

Not much help I'm afraid. I registered my interest a few minutes after 6.00am on 29th February but along with everyone else did not get any confirmation for a few days as the email system at RS melted. The info in the information held within the email saysThu, 1 Mar 2012 11:33:51 -0800 (PST)

Mine is early in the 24xx series and the email is timed 4th May @ 09:44.

According to what I read somewhere else, and I can't remember WHERE now.... this 4k batch is being allocated to people who registered in the first 5 minutes and who weren't blessed with the amazing reactions that enabled the first 700 to register in the first minute!

And thats amazing - it puts the demand on the 29th in a frightening perspective.

Oh well, I'll be camped just inside the front door tomorrow, waiting.  Just waiting....

The figures between Farnell & RS are horribly skewed.

RS only had an 'ickle form to fill in - so they got 1,000's through the door.

I got my Pi last week from Farnell and it took me until 8:29am (the longest & most aggravating 2.5 hours of my life) to get that order placed.

Think how much business Farnell must have lost due to relying on their ecommerce engine staying up and crashing badly!

RS will have taken the lion's share of the enquiries

It is interesting that RS are shipping by Parcelforce Express 24, while Element 14 are relying on Royal Mail 2nd class post!

This sort of gives me the (possibly wrong) impression that RS think slightly more of their customers than Farnell do!

Neither company has sent me one yet though!

And yet, I registered with RS at 0601 and didn't get to Farnell until the evening. I've got a shipping date from Farnell and no order even placed with RS. I guess my first RS registration got lost in the rush, (I did another later to make sure). I'm not that desperate, just keen.

When you say you registered with RS at 6:01, do you actually have a confirmation from them to that effect. The early registrations were very confusing and I had no confirmation from RS for several days. After that I tended to get a weekly holding email from RS. Looking through my emails it looks like I had nine of them before the invitation to order. If you have not been getting the emails I would suggest that your registration fell down the back of the sofa.

Got my despatch email today around 7pm, order number 23xx and yes I"m in the UK. Are many 4k people outside the UK then?

I managed to register interest a few minutes past 6am. I nearly didn"t register interest as I remember sending a tweet about interest page and being told I was on the wrong RS page.

Panicked again when I heard some early RS registrations went AWOL though did that really happen?

Pretty  sure my first registratration with RS was in first minute, at the stage when they suggested you put your address in the text field. Later tried again and that advice had gone, but still waiting for order invite from RS. OTOH Farnell reckon to meet my order on 3 March before end of May
