Thought I"d share that I"ve been able to build and run squeezeslave, an remote player for logitech"s squeezebox range of products

pi@raspberrypi:~/squeeze/squeezeslave$ bin/squeezeslave -V
squeezeslave 1.2-319 Apr 20 2012 08:48:51
compile flags: linux portaudio:1608 debug signals daemon nofpu renice
buffer sizes: decoder 2097152 output 2822400 bytes

Not 100% there yet, audio drops out after 5-15 minutes (not got a definitive time yet).I"m using the alpha alsa drivers.

More details to follow soon, I"d be interested if anyone else has had any success. Stuart
