Is Chrome included with the latest Raspbian Wheezy dated 5/29/13?

Thank you for your consideration to this matter.

The current chromium - as of june first and with the latest Pi firmware - only suffers from a slow start-up. It is considerably faster than midori for actual browsing...

Hi,

I would like to recommend you this browswer : http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 66&t=35281 .
In my point of view, this is the fastest browser for Raspbian. It does not look so good but as I wrote, it is damned fast browser.

@Liber:
Did you try my Minimal Kiosk Browser? It is based on the same code, but has better support for audio/video/pdf and more configuration options.

I just cut my losses and don't try and surf the internet on a Pi, none of them cut it as usable in my book.

Overclock it as far as it will go ?, It's still slow if you get it to run to 1Ghz.

I run all mine headless, so I use the same computer to control the Pis as I use for surfing, buts its a nice Core 2 Duo processor and a couple of Gb of RAM that makes a respectable job of surfing. Best of both worlds.

Personally from my experience with internet surfing on the Pi (despite what people may say) Chromium is by far the best on a fully overclocked Pi. Midori is just hopeless, word of advice dont sign in to chrome it slows things up! Lets be honest, with its processor and little ram it is impossible to replicate the internet speed we have become accustomed to on our modern gadgets.

I would advise not using the Pi to browse the internet on the default rasberian image, if anybody is desperate for fast internet I recommend Pidora, its internet speed is far superior on the Pi!
You could say my love for Linux is terminal ;)
