Wayland/Weston Install

Thu May 30, 2013 2:38 am

Hello everyone,

I have made a shell script that should automate the Wayland and Weston installation. I made it after seeing what the recently demoed Wayland display server can do on the Pi. It is taken from the guide at http://wayland.freedesktop.org/raspberrypi.html.
Feel free to adapt as necessary. Download at https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2SGCj_ ... sp=sharing because it seems that .sh and .txt files cannot be attached.

Have you had any luck getting the XWayland components to run an X-Windows program? I have Weyland/Weston running, both from the demo package as well as one built from the instructions you referenced - in both cases I get 'cannot initialize compostor' when trying to launch from X.

Hope you've had more luck :-)
