That"s 2000 in each pallet, in three deliveries that make 6000 accounted for so far out of the first batch of 10000.

I wonder where the other two pallets have got to?

All I have left now is this:

Didn't even have time to salvage one single Pi!

Oh well, back to the waiting game...

Why did they leave them outside the toilet block?

One man"s castle is another man"s servant"s quarters ...

For the record, it"s former military housing from the 1960s made available to active duty and retired military, police, firefighters, educators, and students. Only the finest in architecture for our bravest and most dedicated

This coming from someone who"s name suggests they live in a pigpen?

BTW, how are Christopher, Pooh, Tigger, Eyore, et al?

Luxury!

When we applied for a council flat as students they gave us a nice booklet showing all the nice council houses we could get for the points we were allocated. 20 points for this, 30 points for that and so on. On the back page we then read:

The number of points you are allocated is: 6

We looked back through the booklet and realised that all we were entitled to (and all we had expected to be honest) was a Moss Side cresent in tasteful 1960s high-rise concrete complete with broken lifts, smelly stairwells and cockroaches.

And if you tell the kids of today that, they'll not believe you.

This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

You lot are lucky.  The UPS man got the crate into the lift here, but then couldn't get it out again.  So my spare room is now knee-deep in R-Pis and the lift is still out of order.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on people to teach you it.

Concrete & broken lifts, you were so lucky....  because & was male, single, heterosexual and under the age of 25, all I was entitled to was a photocopied piece of paper with directions to the army and navy stores with a 10% off voucher for sleeping bags and tents...

I should note that"s a photo of the "model" (they just spruced up a unit for the photo – I don"t know of any others that have trees anywhere in the yard, much less in front). They have been going around resurfacing roofs recently, and my place doesn"t leak in the rain, so, that"s nice. Cold drafts, bugs coming and going as they please, persistent mildew, etc., are no extra charge, though. It does beat the even-worse alternatives, I guess.

OK, so it seems all the boards are now accounted for. Roundup:

- 2000 are in a secret room in Wales where foundation members can play with them ('testing', wink wink)

- 2000 were raided from the warehouse where I live, they can be anywhere

- 2000 were dumped outside a toilet block in Silicon Valley, were likely discovered by Apple lawyers taking a pee and confiscated because an 'i' was used in the product name while the product resembles an iPad too much

- 2000 were dumped in a small room in Helsinki

- 2000 were taken over by aliens, possibly on their way to Alpha Centauri now

The best chance of getting a Pi anytime soon is likely to take a plane to Helsinki and twist the arm of the local UPS employee for the delivery address.

As for the 'shopped' allegation, the idea that I would post a photoshopped image on April Fools day is ludicrous. I would never do that. Nope. Not in a million years. Honestly.
