Just a bit surprised that since Eben's giving a talk and since there's the possibility of tickets to the general public this hasn't been mentioned - or at least, I haven't seen mention of it.

Hwyl!

I was going to attend but after looking at 3 train connections to get there and another 3 to get back, I will have to miss it

Is it likely that a recording of Eben's speech will be put up?

I would have loved to go, but it's way too expensive and Sunday trains are likely to be problematical, necessitating hotel accomodation.

Would have been nice to have a more accessible celebration - especially since I still have 3 BBC Model B's, one converted for USB and with a memory card 'hard drive'.

it is just too tempting to swipe my daughters "One Direction" concert tickets and sell them on ebay to pay for the tickets for beeb@30
