Re: US/North American Licencee (questions not venting)

With all the stories that most of the R-Pi's where sold to UK residence it begs the question: If or when will there be a US/North America Licencee?  I would think that the US and Canada is a fair sized market.  Also it could reduce shipping and VAT fees for us if we had a 'local' supplier.  Also what would a company have to do to become a licencee?

Please forgive me if the has been answered before but I couldn't find a specific topic on this matter in the forum or an article on the wiki.

Please forgive me for my ignorance.  I thought all three of the companies that are selling the pre-orders were UK companies.  I didn't realize Allied Electronics is a US company. I will go away now. Thank you for your time.

Newark has pre-sales for them as well.
