Notsure if my tv meets the 1.3a standard, its an older hdtv

the HDMI standards are backwards compatible.

It should work on any screen with hdmi if it doesnt you can still use RCA

What about over scanning on some TV's, I know on my tv I loose the start muton and the close window if I connect my pc.

There is a config file to alter the margins which is saved on the SDCard as a plain text file...  Very simple to edit!
