Is Raspberry Pi becoming like DeLorean DMC-12?

Mon Feb 04, 2013 7:20 pm

Check out all the electronic shops....
"Due to continued demand and limited supply of the Raspberry Pi Model B, delivery times will vary and may exceed 6 weeks. We regret this inconvenience and sincerely thank you for your patience."

"OUT OF STOCK; Availability: Usually Ships in 24 to 48 Hours Product Code: MKRPI2"

Slow production, difficult to produce, and sold out. Is Raspberry Pi factory becoming like DeLorean DMC-12?

For goodness sake - every single post you make is depressing, and usually wrong.

Slow production? We are making thousands PER DAY. 1 million in the first year. Probably the fastest selling SBC of all time.

Difficult to produce. No it isn't. Why do you think it's difficult to produce?

Sold out. Try Element 14 or RS or Farnell - I think you will find a decent response time.

DeLorean DMC-12 . That car could travel in time - what's not to like?

You only seem interested in raising negative points about the Pi, but only by quoting poor sources, or just randomly making things up, without researching and finding out the actual truth (as is the example here).

You have already clearly stated you don't understand about the US Dollar, about legal tender, and other concepts, including your stunned taken-abackness that you cannot buy a Raspberry Pi using cash in your town.

Can you provide some statements and facts that support your DeLorean theory? Because I have read up about the Foundation, and years ago read up all about DMC as well, and frankly, it is like comparing the Alabama Luxury Chainsaw Company and the Northern Adelaide Computers For Schools Charitable Trust. (Obviously both fake entities, but most people will see where this is going).

Do you read Liz's blogs/posts?
Do you know whats happening with Rapsberry Pi Production at the moment?
Do you know whats been released recently?

I don't think you do...

No, it's all a cunning plan to prevent you from buying a Pi, in order to save the rest of us from the troll-tastic questions you'll come up with when you get your hands on one.

Also no-one in the Foundation has been dealing cocaine to keep the operation above water.

No. I really want to do it sometime future years. I find this product useful.
I don't want raspberry pi turn into Commodore 64 and switch different brands.

Raspberry Pi might have future competitors...(I.E, Microsoft, Apple, IBM...)

I really think you need to calm down and think before you post. All you posts have been somewhat inflammatory in one way or another. If the next one is the same you will get a temporary ban.

This thread is going to get a little heated, so I'm locking it.
