Wow 500,000+ RPi?

Wed Jan 09, 2013 10:32 am

If there have already been more than 500,000 RPi's sold, and this trend keeps for a few years, the RPi is well on its way to taking over the title of the single most succeful single computer model system in the world. The Commodore has long held this title with its 12.5Milion, though the Pi is already passing up the sails figures of the C64..

i would have poste the above on the comments on the newspage, though that requires Java script, andthe current JSON builds of NetSurf on RISC OS are crashing on my RPi.

Actually, 500K doesn't include the figures from RS, but expectation is 1M by Feb28th.

That was just a marketing plot and it worked. CocaCola intentionally change the recipe to something that tastes like rotten sugar water, people protested, they changed back, and in the end sales have been much higher than they ever were. I just don't know why they then called it "Classic"...doesn't have cocaine in it.
