I don`t have access to the Videocore manual, so I rely on the goodwill of people inside BROADCOM, if they think it would be useful.
I am assuming that Linux libraries would be community driven, but to fully unlock the power of the GPU needs a simple, but proprietary, SIMD interface.
Unfortunately the word simple in that sentence really doesn't apply. Passing off any sort of data to the GPU, processing it using vector code, and getting the results back isn't simple. I've been looking at it, it's a big job.
