Alimentation for multiple raspberry pi ?

Sat Dec 07, 2019 7:02 pm

Hi,

At home, i have 5 RPI4 , 4 RPI3 and 1 RPI0. I really would like to have only one usb charger for all of these (or at least 2 maximum). Do you have some recommandations about good usb chargers with multiple ports ? (and that can handle the power needed by all of these boards)

Maybe something like that : https://i-tec.cz/en/produkt/u3chargehub13-2/ but i'm not sure 60W will be enough.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Since the link says "and charging from the USB ports, providing up to 10 W of charging power for each port." there would be little room fpr RPi4s. They require upt to 3 Amps, equalling 15Watts.
So 60 Watts average may be sufficient juice, maybe not, 10 Watt per port are definitely not.
Consider buying two 5 V, 20 A, thus 100W power supplies and power all your Pis via GPIO header. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14098
or buy a 5V, 30A, thus 150W power supply... https://www.voelkner.de/products/767413 ... gKvD_D_BwE
