RPi 4 UPS choice.

Wed Aug 28, 2019 6:21 am

I am working on a raspberry pi 4 free NAS server, and I thought just for extra safety I should install a UPS, I found a UPS on aliexpress, but I'm not sure if it wil work (or not break) the RPi.
Here's what I found:

If the UPS isn't compatible with the RPi, what other options are there?

If you are looking for resilience against power failures, you need to protect your router and the systems that are using your NAS, too. I would do this by connecting them all to a standard mains UPS with sufficient capacity to support them all for a period of time long enough to shut down the heavier power users. The Pi and the routers will be supported for a very long time if they are the only things (left) on.
