Clone hdmi display to gpio lcd display

Sat Jul 13, 2019 11:23 am

Good morning everyone so iv got a little project on the go.

Part of my project I need to clone the display of the hdmi to a gpio lcd display.

The lcd is a Xpt2046 3.5inch model.

The raspberry pi 3 b+ is going to be running multiple os and will be running from a usb hdd.

Any help with would be much appreciated thanks, and sorry if this has been asked before

There are tools called "rpi-fbcp" and "raspi2fb" which purpose is to copy image from one screen to another.

This assumes that the drivers for the display sets it up as a Linux framebuffer like "/dev/fb1".
And you have to run this program in the background on all OSes.
